Analysis of the difference between treated and untreated plants. In cooperation with the University of Amsterdam, Vertify and Vivent, Fundamental Systems conducted an extensive tomato and bell pepper trial. In this, Fundamental Systems treated half of the plants with hydrogen and oxygen infused water. The study covered a full life cycle: from seed to harvest. To measure the effect on the plants, biofeedback was used. This allowed Fundamental Systems to measure both plant rhythm and activity profile.

In the treated plants:

No negative effect was found from water infusion on

  • The plant
  • The microbiome around the roots
  • The water balance
  • The composition of nutrients

Fundamental Systems saw a higher

  • Nutrient index balance
  • Photosynthetic activity
  • Yield per plant in kg

And it required less

  • Chemical intervention
  • Plant protection products

Tomato Trial

Treated plants are more active and have a more stable rhythm with more optimal hours and fewer suboptimal hours. This means the treatment helps reduce plants’ response to stressors and changes in climate. They gain higher resilience.
