  • These signals were discovered over 120 years ago but they are complex and hard to record and understand. ​
  • Specialised electronics and powerful computing means that it is now possible to decode these signals.​
  • Plant use electrical signals to control growth, development and reproduction and to mount defenses to pests or disease.​
  • By isolating certain plant responses we can detect specific stimuli. Alternatively we can measure variations to the expected signals to detect plant stress. ​
  • Plant communication is an exciting and intersting field of study.​
