We transform plant biosignals into actionable insights using smart plant biosensors, AI, and machine learning to enable early stress detection in crops.
Plants are constantly sensing and responding to their environment. When exposed to stress or subtle changes in light, moisture, temperature, or pathogens, they produce tiny electrical signals known as plant biosignals.
The plant biosensor from Vivent Biosignals detects and records the tiny electrical signals that plants generate using electrodes placed directly on the plant.
Machine learning models from Vivent Biosignals analyse plant biosignals to detect a wide range of crop threats, including soil-borne pathogens, often before any visible symptoms appear.
Plant data is sent to the intuitive live dashboard of Vivent Biosignals, giving growers instant access to key metrics, like nutrient levels (N, P, K, Ca), stress signals, and environmental responses.
Climate conditions
Heat and cold stress, especially at critical crop development stages.
Novel crop treatments
Refine application dosages and schedules. Demonstrate product efficacy throughout the crop cycle.
Soil moisture levels
Adjust irrigation strategies or drive irrigation systems based on plant feedback.
Nutrient levels
Track nutrient uptake continuously for N, P, K, Ca, Mn, Fe.
LED lighting
Optimise growth while reducing energy costs.
Different substrates
Tune growing recipes for specific soils and substrates.
Selected biotic stressors
We are continuously refining and expanding the specific models we have for early detection of insects, like thrips or aphids, wireworm or stink bugs, and fungal infections like mildew, fusarium and botrytis.

““Water use has been significantly lower than on the rest of the farm. Since fertilisation is applied together with irrigation, costs have been reduced by around 30% in both water consumption and fertilizer usage”

“We could see when and why our biostimulant makes a difference. We obtained quantified evidence of improvements in water and nutrient status for crops treated with Symactiv.”
