Vivent is pleased to announce that together with Irriot, we have been awarded a grant from EIP AGRI via the Swedish Board of Agriculture to develop a bio intelligent irrigation system.

All plants communicate using electromagnetic impulses. Vivent harnesses and translates these signals so that we can actually understand how plants are reponding to envrionmental cues. By integrating Vivent’s platform with IRRIOTs wireless irrigation automation system the two companies will create a system where plants will be able to communicate their needs which will then be supplied automatically by IRRIOT.

The project stretches over a 3 year period and the solution will be commercially available after 2024. The two pilot sites are strawberry farmers in Sweden.
